As winter arrives, Birkacre takes on a whole new character. The centre fills with Christmas trees, glowing lights and festive displays, all carefully prepared behind the scenes before the grand reveal. The restaurant joins in too, serving seasonal favourites that make a winter visit feel that little bit more special.
Our Christmas gifts and decorations are selected with care, with plenty of items you will want to bring out year after year rather than pack away and forget.

The plans are already taking shape behind the scenes, but the theme remains a secret. Every display, detail and finishing element is being prepared ready for the moment the doors open.

The restaurant
A Taste of Christmas
Take a break from Christmas shopping and enjoy something freshly prepared in the restaurant. Breakfast is served until 11am, with lunch available from 11.30am. During the Christmas season, the restaurant also stays open until 7pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Expect home-cooked favourites, freshly baked treats and gluten-free options, with a small number of dog-friendly tables available to book by phone.
Stop for breakfast before browsing, settle in for lunch after seeing the displays, or make an evening of your Christmas visit. Tables can be booked in advance, although walk-ins are always welcome. If the restaurant is busy, you will be given a buzzer so you can continue shopping while you wait.

The centre
Birkacre at Christmas
By October, much of the centre has been transformed for the season. Rooms are filled with decorations, gifts, trees and festive details, giving you plenty to discover as you make your way through the displays.
The collection brings together glass decorations, ribbons, greenery, ornaments and gifts, all selected with care for the Christmas season. You can browse at your own pace, find something for your home or choose a present for someone else, with staff nearby if you need help finding the right item.
With free parking, the restaurant close by and plenty to see throughout the centre, it is worth giving yourself time to enjoy the visit.

Find thoughtful presents for the home, the table and the people who can be difficult to buy for. Larger homeware sits alongside smaller gifts, with plenty of choice for different tastes and occasions.
The focus is on finding something that feels right for the person receiving it. Take your time, browse the collections and ask a member of staff if you would like help choosing.
